The Streaming Giant Casts Perfect Star for Bentham in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the major clash won’t take place until the next season, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has just been cast.
Netflix announced Tuesday that the talented performer has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Bentham. This character can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve made contact with with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will depict a version of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, as in the source material and animated series.
Escola will work alongside a number of fresh additions set to bring Baroque Works to life, featuring chief the main antagonist, played by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as the ruler of the fictional land.
Although the role is a key figure of the organization, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Given season 2 set to cover the Little Garden segment, this represents a significant shift in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest additional alterations to the plot development.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the role. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and multiple awards for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
